Leakage

Условие

An insulation fault at some point in a telephone line of unknown length $L$ introduces a leakage resistance $R_x$ between the wires.

Facilities with ommeters access both sides of the line. They measure the resistance of line when the opposite terminals open ($R_1=4.0~\Omega$ and $R_2=8.0~\Omega$) and then with them shorted ($r_1=3.5~\Omega$ and $r_2$).

Due to phone issues, the technician on the right side was only able to communicate the value of $R_2$ to the second technician, who is responsible for the calculations.

Help technician to calculate $R_x$, distance to the leakage $l$ and total length of line $L$ and lost value of $r_2$.

Resistance of wire per unit length is $\rho = 5.0 \cdot 10^{-4}~\Omega \cdot \text{m}^{-1}$
